Preview issues

Once I write <h1>Example Name</h1> and I click preview it just pulls up the code that I wrote and not just my name as a headline. I'm using OS X Yosemite, I haven't had this issue before but since i've renewed my membership its been an issue. Is there something I can do to fix it?

I had a similar problem for a while there and was unsure how to fix it for a while but I had noticed my DOCTYPE was messed up and corrected it and then it would preview again maybe make sure that part of the page is good.
