I recently got an email from someone asking if I would be able to make them an iOS app like This one with some added features:
- push notifications
- photo gallery/slideshow
- syncing with external calendars
- social media sharing
- set reminders and alerts
I feel myself capable of doing this (with some learning), but I am lost on what to do about things such as how much I should charge (This would be my first client).
What would be a proper amount to charge? As I have so little experience, I can't say how long it would take.

By the number of the features, you have to ask yourself how many screens is it going to take to complete de App and also if the design is going to be set by the client or you are going to create it and then show it to the client, because that part is going to take a lot of hours of design and change, design and change again...
If you want me to say a price, maybe I will start from 4.000€ - 5.000€ and if the design is not set and there are more than 10 different screens, I would go a little bit up from those 5.000€
Good luck with that and if you want to tell us more information, we would post a reasonable amount :)

21,046 PointsHey Caleb Kleveter,
Considering its your first project, you have to decide how much you feel comfortable working for. I think it would be easier to suggest a flat fee to start. Once again you will have to judge how long a project like this will take you and determine a price based on that. Regardless, this will be a good learning experience and resume builder.
If you're writing it in Swift and looking to split the project with another developer, I would be glad to join in. I'm trying to find a first project of my own.
Good Luck
