Printing a javascript variable into an input on a webpage

I am trying to print a variables value in to an input with java script heres my code i don't know any other way to try and do it

document.getElementById("ETC").innerHTML = credits.toFixed(2);

i set the inputs id to "ETC"

You will want to use the value method.

document.getElementById('ETC').value = credits.toFixed(2);
