I've emailed Customer Support with a recommendation that Treehouse establish its own private messaging facility for those who want to make friends on Treehouse, without having to post personal contact details. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter because of the public exposure, but I do have a Skype profile. Whenever I get stuck, other students help out within minutes, even seconds of my message being posted. I'd previously started another thread about this topic called "Socialising online" but I think it's been buried under a mountain of other posts. All opinions welcome.

33,234 PointsThanks Hayden. I've just made some changes to my profile.
By the way, one of the other students has created his own Facebook page for Treehouse students. Here it is:

39,199 PointsYou can set your profile to Treehouse members only and link your skype or google talk profile to that.

Sean Flanagan
33,234 PointsThat sounds good. Can you tell me how to do that please? Thanks.

You can set your profile to Treehouse members only
Looks like I was mistaken, the privacy feature apparently hides your profile from everyone. Sorry about the confusion.

33,234 PointsIf I tick "Allow everyone to see my profile" does this mean everyone on Treehouse, or everyone on the internet?

James Barnett
39,199 PointsEveryone on the Internet apparently. I just checked by view your profile page in incognito mode (where I'm signed out).
