Private video hosting??

Hello, hopefully this post reaches someone who can help.

I have been building a software with one of my friends for online video trainings. (same as treehouse)

I was wondering how treehouse hosts their videos, and how they added the change the speed of the videos feature. This would be amazing if someone could help :)
