Pro Subscription that I never asked for.

Hey, with all due respect I would like to know when I subscribed for this PRO SUBSCRIPTION of your?? I never even visited your website after creating the free trial account. You asked for the bank details and said "don't worry nothing will be deducted from it without my permission". And this is what I get? You subscribed me for the PRO subscription by yourself without even asking me? This is against all law and jurisdiction. I never accessed your website after the creation of my "FREE TRIAL ACCOUNT". And it was mentioned there that you won't subscribe me for anything else unless I myself choose a plan? What is this? With all due respect please see to this matter. Please help me out here, I am just a student can't afford to lose 49$ without doing anything. And I can't even delete my bank account details now. Thank you.

help guys! anything at all will be appreciated.

When you registered the free trial account it clearly states "Don't worry! You won't be charged until the end of your 7-day trial.". Also when the trial is ending you should have received an email warning you that your trial was expiring and you will be charged. You should have paused your enrollment on your account settings.

However, I suggest you to contact the support team here https://teamtreehouse.com/support and let's see if they can resolve your case.

Hello! Fully agree with Leandro Botella, it's a pity, but you didn't paused your enrollment at time( Treehouse also suggested me about it when I took 7 days free period. And I did it at the end of 7th day and now use platform only as a forum.

But do it at least now if you don't want to lose more money for next month! Go to your profile at the top of the screen and inside of it find section Enrollment and pause it. As I understand your enrollment will be active for the rest of month as you have already paid for current study month and at the end of it it will be paused. You won't pay more money at least.

well thank you guys! isn't there any way that I can get my money back? they never told me about pausing the enrollment thing. Please treehouse help me! I can't make ammends now! :(

I don't know about it. Try as Leandro said and write to support. But I don't think you have a very good chance as service send everybody typical letters when you sign in. But may be they will solve just this case, your personal situation as you didn't understand the rules right. Try it and good luck!

Yes I already sent them an email regarding this, no reply yet. But still don't you think it's a little bit too much making the transaction by themself? I mean if they have the bank details they should suggest us some plans or whatever, but making the transactions by their own and that too for PRO, why not the BASIC one? That's just too much! I am just glad about one thing, i. e. I had just 50$ in my bank account at the moment not 200$, else I am pretty much sure that they would have made a 199$ transaction and enrolled me for the Techdegree course! THAT'S NOT FAIR TREEHOUSE! :( Evgeniia Mas Leandro Botella thanks again! Is there any way to contact the admin or something?? I understand that you feel very disappointed. But look more attentively: when I signed here and entered my payments information I also signed automatically an agreement (when was redirected to payment page) for Treehouse for a year and according it I was ready to pay each month 25 dollars (I took basic plan for free, not PRO from very beginning) if I don't stop my enrollment. If now you don't pause your enrollment and was signed for PRO you will pay every month 49 dollars as you have actual agreement for that! If you cancel and stop it, no payments. Have a look at you bank or paypal auto payments, you will see such approved agreement. Until this agreement is not canceled - you pay! And it is not a transaction (any bank won't do that if no such agreement , because if not - you can ask your bank to give you money back) without your desire! It's just a payment according the conditions. Sorry, but I can't add something more.

After I realize I paid for Pro plan. I tried to click to enroll to basic plan. Now I were moved to Basic plan instantly with no money back!! But when I try to change to Pro plan again I have to pay for 24 usd??? Seriously???

Enrolling to a lower plan doesn't give your money back. The page calculates the difference between the prices of both plans within the remaining days of the month and then your account is credited with the difference so in the next month that credit will be spent and therefore you won't pay the full price of the subscription.

TREEHOUSE is a shady, corrupt outfit. You have to "opt out" of being charged money, and they do it that way to maximize profit. A software glitch charged many, many people "accidentally"...and oh, they are SO sorry about that, but that is a money grab also because they only have to refund money to people that ASK for it. They permit you to place your pay information on your account, but they don't let YOU delete it. You have to kindly ask THEM to delete it. This site is shady and corrupt as anything I've ever seen.
