Problem with catch

I have problem with try catch block.

Even if I change database file name , I get display "Successful". BUT new file creates automatic with misspelled file name?

Same problem is here to what a hack???

here the code:

try {
$db = new PDO("sqlite:".__DIR__."/database.db");
var_dump($db);
} catch (Exception $e) {
    echo "Unable to connect";
    exit;
}

echo "Connected to the database";

Any one please have any Idea to solve it???
