Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java IO

Problem with Console Java

Hi Team, I don't understand why the program does not run.

IO.java
import java.io.Console;

public class Introductions {

  public static void main(String[] args) {
    Console console = System.console();
    String firstName = console.readLine("What is your name?  ");
  }
}

You are doing more than the challenge expects you to do. The challenge already imported java.io.Console as console, so you don't need to declare it. The challenge is also not expecting you to create a class or put your code in a method.

The code String firstName = console.readLine("What is your name? "); by itself will pass the first task.
