Problem with Date conversion

Below is my code for quiz, i don't know what is wrong !!

MainActivity.java 
import android.app.Activity;
import com.parse.ParseObject;
import java.util.Date;
import java.util.GregorianCalendar;

public class MainActivity extends Activity {

    // Some code omitted!

    public void addNewEvent() {
        // param 1 = year, param 2 = month, param 3 = day
        Date date = new GregorianCalendar(2014, 0, 1).getTime(); 
        ParseObject parseObject = new ParseObject("Event");
        parseObject.put("eventName", "Birthday party");
        parseObject.put("eventDate", new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss").format(date));

All you have to do is put the date variable, not do the whole SimpleDateFormat thing.
