Problem With My Code!

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
      if items[0] == "a":
        print(items)

the challenge is asking you to continue if an item starts with an 'a' if it doesn't print that item

def loopy(items):
  for item in items:
    if item[0] == 'a':
      continue
    else:
      print(item)

Your code can be corrected with two fixes:

  • refer to loop variable item not the argument variable items
  • change the if to "not equal"
def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
      if item[0] != "a":
        print(item)
