in the video when the guy run's the Crystal Ball project in the Android emulator its all ready there but when i run my project in the Android emulator it takes me to the home screen and i cant find the app can any one help me run the app on the emulator ?

You should check the Eclipse console for any errors. However, I think a restart of Eclipse and the emulator usually fixes these kind of glitches for me.
On the other hand, you can try Gennymotion emulator, it leverages on VirtualBox 4.2.x and greater.
