1,728 PointsI noticed that when I switch to another tab while watching videos, the video will be stuck when I come back but the sound is still going. Then I get prompted to wait or kill it. Usually have to close the tab and reopen it, refreshing doesn't work. Working on a Chromebook, if that makes a difference. I have resorted to un-attaching the treehouse tab, that. Fixes it.

Courses Plus Student 15,597 PointsI have an issue that happens once in a while, though I can't seem to recreate it - when I pause the video, there is another voice of another teacher in the background, it's always the same voice and there's no way to stop it.
Don't know if it's a browser issue, it happened on OS Yosemite with Safari 8.0.8, currently I am on El Capitan with Safari 9.0, we'll see how it goes.

2,766 PointsThat voice plays if you pause the video with space-bar. I don't believe that is a bug and think it's intentional if you listen to what he's saying

Courses Plus Student 15,597 PointsHi Curtis,
I have tried it again, and you are right about the space bar, although the things that he is saying sound like it's coming from a video of some sort as you can hear noises of swiping and popping.
Also the sound of it is way too loud! and if you try it yourself, it's doesn't happen everytime you press the space-bar.
EDIT: I believe I was right, I actually found the video of it! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaiOPREaj98) I do believe it's a bug, but if a STAFF member or a Mod could confirm if it is or not, would be great. :)

3,392 PointsHey Everyone!
We're terribly sorry if you are running into any issues with playing our videos! Here is something you can try to see if it helps:
If you are using Chrome or Firefox, please open a new window in Incognito Mode (Chrome) or Privacy Mode (Firefox) and try playing a video. This'll disable any 3rd party plugins you have installed within your browser. If the video playback improves then it means you have a plugin installed that is interfering with video playback on our site, likely one that has to do with HTML5.
If you still have any troubles, please feel free to reach out to us here in Support at help@teamtreehouse.com to see if we can be of any further assistance! We are aware of the issue with pausing the video with the space bar and when it's started again, sound from another video starts. We may recommend to use your mouse or mousepad to pause and start videos as a temporary fix in the meantime :)
We hope this helps!

So all my debugging of the weird voice was for nothing! :( Next time I will just contact you to see if you are aware of the issue :P

2,766 PointsI'm encountering that same issue. Sort of annoying if you want to type notes or code snippets along with the video
