Problems with main.css and tag in CSS main

Hi folks,

I've finally downloaded main.css and normalize.css into the workspaces though none of them seem to working. The page look like there are no CSS at all. The links in index.html look right I've tried in Chrome and Mozilla.
Plus few tags such as this one bellow highlighted with red, like there are something wrong

gallery li a p {

margin: 0; 
padding: 5%;
font-size: 0.75em;
color: #bdc3c7

}

well, I've found out why it was highlighted with red, though the problem with formatting still exists as was described.
