Problems with my first Bootstrap site

I'm trying to use Bootstrap for the first time after working through the Intro To Frameworks course by Guil Hernandez. I'm using Brackets and I've downloaded the latest Bootstrap files, created an index.html file, and copied and pasted the html from bootstrap's starter template (http://getbootstrap.com/examples/starter-template/). Problem is when I preview the site, it looks a little different to the example page. If I've done everything correctly, shouldn't it look identical? Have a missed a step?

I've also tried the same thing with workspaces and get the same result.
