C# C# Basics (Retired) Console I/O Start Coding

Program not compiling, it says cannot open assembly 'Program.cs': file doesn't contain a valid CIL image

Program doesn't run, it compiles, but mono Progarm.cs gives the above error

:point_right: You might be using the wrong command for that file type.

To compile a C# source file, you would use the command: "mcs Program.cs". If the compilation is successful, it would create a CIL image file named "Program.exe".

Then to run that compiled output file you would use: "mono Program.exe".

Funny, someone had almost the same exact issue last week.
