Programming with HTML5

Hi all,

So I was having a conversation just now with a web designer friend of mine and the topic of HTML5 came up. I know that you can do programming with the Canvas element in HTML5 but when people say HTML5 to me, I just think the latest web specification for build content for the web. Not programming just market.

But then I go back to the platform, (web-gl) which as I recall is the context for programming in HTML with Canvas. Apparently and this isn't something I'm aware of, more and more people are turning to programming with HTML5 due to its cross compatibility.

Is this an area Treehouse is planning some day to spend more time looking at?

I'm not saying JS or Java is dying out any time soon. At least I hope not because I'm planning to spend a lot of time looking at Java to build Android apps.

Thoughts? :-)
