iOS

project has a bug

hello, So I was working on my iOS app and i was on the programmatically add the view when it wouldn't run because of a green error (i don't know what it means) and it's saying "thread 1: breakpoint 2.1 3.1" i'm so frustrated and i'm so sad to see it fail. so i deleted the code but then it move to the next line then the next etc. I really need help i don't want to restart. please help, Kai. by the way I can send the project for help if anyone wants to help that much.

I wanted to do the same thing. I tried the extra credit from the part before (to have the prediction change color) and I did it. But for this one, even though I think I'd be able to do it, I decided to finish the project and then do the extra credit. Don't get too frustrated, as I advance through the project, I understand a bit more and more, and Amit keeps getting better.

so what should I do.

it's not the code it's the project.

Can you share your project via DropBox?

yes

You need to zip up the entire project and share it:

the project doesn't appear in a folder it is just showing an Xcode project so how do you compress that?

I'm afraid you are only providing the "xcodeproj" file. You need to zip up the entire folder:

Once again the zip file you provided contains only one file named: "CrystalBall.xcodeproj". Like I mentioned and showed in the screenshot above you need to zip up the entire folder.

so you hit compress then share the link, correct if so thats what i did (i think).

That's right. But I'm afraid you are compressing the wrong thing. You need to compress the folder and not just the file.

im not seeing a folder just a file.

There in lies the problem. You should have an entire folder with files and a sub-folder. If you don't then you might have to start over by creating a new project. Or just download the Project Files under the Downloads section of any video to follow along.

hey amit, so i decided to simply take your xcode file and finish with that but it not showing all the code when i open the .m or .h file but when i run it it works. how do i get the code Amit Bijlani
