Project Idea (Beginner) - Feedback?

Hi, After learning a sufficient amount of HTML and CSS I believe it is time to embark on my first web project!

I felt like as a beginner it would only be right to start off relatively small, so I have decided to build upon the Lake Tahoe website that was created in the CSS course. and turn it into a portfolio page, where it will show the viewer a page about me, my work, contact details, etc.

Also during the creation of this I will continue to learn on Treehouse, perhaps JavaScript/jQuery and then apply those skills to add some interactivity!

What do you think? Any feedback and suggestions would be great.

Thanks, James.

The Lake Tahoe style build up for a website is a great idea. I would go ahead with that perhaps by building up a new one for yourself or by adaptiing what you built in the CSS Courses. I say go for it. Best of luck with your efforts :)

Hi James! That's great! Any project is good since you are just starting out! JS/JQuery is the right choice for front-end developing and you could add ruby, python or php for the back-end part as well such as database handling and client-server interaction! The choice is yours and you could embark in any trip you like while you feel motivated! That's the key part: Stay motivated! Create! and keep coding :)!
