Project without appcompat

Due to an update in eclipse android SDK manager I am not able to create a project without the appcompat dependency. Is there still a way I can create a project without the appcompat dependency so I can follow along with the videos. Help would be appreciated.

It's okay to proceed with the appcompat. I have recorded some fixes that should help you get past this first part, and they should be available on the site soon. In the mean time, check out the links in the Teacher's Notes section for screenshots on how to proceed.
