Publishing A WordPress Plugin

Hi everyone :)

I have been working on this plugin for a while and I feel I am ready to add it to the codex.

However I have never done this before, I have read what the codex has to say on the requirements but I am really hoping there is someone here that has published one just to give me a heads up on anything I should be aware of or any tips :)
