"pure" Javascript or JQuery

Hey I'm doing a quick survey to see which people prefer for a research paper. It would really help to get some input thanks it doesn;t have to be a long response. If you can give me any insight on this it would be most helpful thanks.

I also answered the other servey, but here's the answers:

  1. Pure Javascript or JQuery? JQuery
  2. Why the preference? Because JQuery doesn't replace JavaScript, it extends it.
  3. What do you like about it Extra functionality, and more compact code.
  4. Dislikes? More to remember. :wink:

The concept of "this or that" seemed a bit silly (see answer 2).
