Python or java?

I would like to make a mobile app sometime in the future. Im debating whether to learn python or java. This will be my first back end web development language to learn. I do know a bit of css and html.

Any suggestions from people who know about python and javascript?

For mobile development I would not recommend going for python - Java (not the same as JavaScript) would be a better choice for that since Android apps are written in Java.

You could also go with JavaScript (not the same as Java) and then create apps using React (not sure about the process)

Thanks Henrik:)
