Watching one of the last videos in python basics and Kenneth says to install Coverage by using pip install Coverage, what is pip? How do I actually do this?

To use pip - open a command line and run 'pip install coverage'. I am using a mac and have coverage installed already

stuarts-mbp:~ stuartmcintosh$ pip install coverage
Requirement already satisfied: coverage in /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.5/lib/python3.5/site-packages
stuarts-mbp:~ stuartmcintosh$
I think there is a Treehouse video on Virtual Environments which is very helpful when installing different packages.
Hope this makes sense
