Python Web Developer Track and Techdegree?

I have been away from Treehouse for a while and recently came back, and noticed the Python Web Development Track and Techdegree seem to have been removed and was wondering why as I was looking forward to taking those classes. Are they beeing revamped or are they just complety gone for good? If they have been removed is it b/c Python is not used by companies as much for web development or web apps anymore? Thanks for the help.

The Python Web Development Techdegree was closed to signups a few months ago, though I don't think there's a public reason as to why (I don't work for Treehouse, I just volunteer as a moderator, so I don't know, either). However, the track was split into 2 different tracks: Exploring Flask and Exploring Django. While it's not the most popular web technology out there, Python is definitely still a technology that companies use on the web, like YouTube, for example

I see, thank you for the reply.

Yeah, exactly same here. I was working through it few months ago and then few days ago I was looking for it and nope is not there anymore.

Will there be a new version of this in the future?

I believe you can get what you are looking for by taking exploring flask (python based) and Exploring Django (python based).

I'm also wondering about this tech degree. I'm very interested to earn such a certification.

We unfortunately do not have an ETA as to if or when the Python Techdegree will reopen in the future. We'd recommend keeping an eye on our main Techdegree pages for updates!
