I have to use this line: npm install —python=python2

only in the treehouse's workspace, right? not in my mac?

Python is pre-installed in the workspaces, you probably wouldn't need to install it there. I'd guess you would be installing it on your own machine.

This seems like an odd question for the JavaScript topic area. It might be easier to answer accurately if you provide a link to the course page you are working with (or at least identify the course).
