Question about languages

I just posted a similar question around a week ago but I want to be sure.

Once I take the decision to go and look for a job as a web developer, what is the most important thing? -regarding languages-

What do I have to be aware of? the companies needs a lot of javascript?

The reason why I am asking this, is because I feel comfortable with HTMl and css, including Bootstrap, Foundation and WordPress, but I've been struggling with JavaScript since I start learning how to program (5 months ago), I am taking the jQuery course here and also in Code School, but I do not know if am learning in a proper way, always in every single challenge I need to click on "HINTS" so I guess there is something I am doing wrong (taking into account that I am I a high level of the jQuery course).

I want you to give any suggestions, thanks in advance.

It seems like you're interested specifically in front-end development, which includes knowing HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Keep learning everything about those languages if you want to find a job in this field.

Also, don't fret about not understanding Javascript completely. It takes time to really grasp a language like JS, especially if you've only worked with HTML and CSS.
