Question about Rails track

Do the projects on Deep dive under the Rails track all use scaffolding or do we learn how to create our own controllers?

I don't think there's much scaffolding used at all.

Thanks James. I noticed it was used in the new To-Do-List project and I just wanted to make sure that we learn how to do everything without scaffolding as I have read that's only to be used for quick prototypes and not on a production site.

If one used scaffolding on a prototype, is it most common to start the project over from scratch when going to production or is it common to just replace the scaffolding?
