Question for Staff: SQL courses?! Will there be an Intro to SQL or something similar coming soon?

Hello everyone!

I actually wanted to suggest/inquire whether any offerings for learning SQL (not mySQL) are on the way? I love Treehouse, it's totally worth the money, but I am supposed to start learning SQL next for my employer (since you guys have been soooo helpful with JavaScript!)...but the only SQL offering I found was mySQL...

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like they've got a beginners course in Database Foundations here: http://teamtreehouse.com/library/database-foundations

Hey sweet, thank you! I will definitely check that out.

the database foundations course is a great intro tool! i would love to see some additional courses added to really build on the basics. it is very well delivered!

I'm taking it now and I'm really liking it so far - I AM having some serious troubles getting MySQL to work once I've installed it successfully - I can't find the stinking Workbench! I posted a forum question to this effect, we'll see how it goes. Hopefully they'll add some more goodies for us too!

Often MyWorkbench is a separate download. What operating system are you running?

Yeh and I remember seeing something about an update since the course came out

Windows 7 Enterprise edition.

Hmmm...I had thought it might be a separate download, but searching for Workbench brought up the same stuff...I'll keep messing with it. I've had to switch over to learning on PluralSight for the rest of the day, my employer keeps a subscription. It's helpful! But it's NOT Treehouse dangit! :D
