Java Java Data Structures - Retired Organizing Data Comparable

question is not clear

The question in task 3 seems not clear. Anyone can help me?

com/example/BlogPost.java
package com.example;

import java.util.Date;

public class BlogPost implements Comparable {
  private String mAuthor;
  private String mTitle;
  private String mBody;
  private String mCategory;
  private Date mCreationDate;

  public int compareTo(Object obj) {
    BlogPost blog = (BlogPost) obj;
    if (equals(blog)) {
      return 0;
    }

    return 1;
  }

  public BlogPost(String author, String title, String body, String category, Date creationDate) {
    mAuthor = author;
    mTitle = title;
    mBody = body;
    mCategory = category;
    mCreationDate = creationDate;
  }

  public String[] getWords() {
    return mBody.split("\\s+");
  }

  public String getAuthor() {
    return mAuthor;
  }

  public String getTitle() {
    return mTitle;
  }

  public String getBody() {
    return mBody;
  }

  public String getCategory() {
    return mCategory;
  }

  public Date getCreationDate() {
    return mCreationDate;
  }
}

I didn't understand the question either, but i took a guess. It seems to accept:

  public int compareTo(Object obj) {
    BlogPost blog = (BlogPost) obj;
    if (equals(blog)) {
      return 0;
    } else {
       return  mCreationDate.compareTo(blog.getCreationDate());
    }

    //return 1;
  }

you are right. Thanks

You compareTo method should look like this:

@Override
  public int compareTo(BlogPost bp) {
    Date otherDate = bp.getCreationDate();
    return mCreationDate.compareTo(otherDate);
  }

thanks for your help
