Question on Delete Method

    <% @statuses.each do |status| %>
      <tr>
        <td><%= status.name %></td>
        <td><%= status.content %></td>
        <td><%= link_to 'Show',status%></td>
        <td><%= link_to 'Edit', edit_status_path(status) %></td>
        <td><%= link_to 'Destroy',status, method: :delete, data: { confirm: 'Are you sure?'} %></td>
      </tr>
    <% end %>
  </tbody>

This is my code in the index.html.erb file and my code in statuses_controller.rb ,destroy function code is like

def destroy
    @status.destroy
    respond_to do |format|
      format.html { redirect_to statuses_url, notice: 'Status was successfully destroyed.' }
      format.json { head :no_content }
    end
  end

The show and Edit methods are working , but when ever i click on the destroy method ,it's again showing the status and isn't deleting the status.
