Question to CSS Transitions/jQuery

Hi guys, I have a question: In my workspace, you should see six containers (only two are functionally at the moment), the upper left and upper mid.

Now, the containers resize as you click them, the others disappear.

The Question: If I click the left upper container, it starts resizing there - which I'm okay with. But I want the middle container to start resizing in the middle, where it originally was located.

Is this possible and how?
