895 PointsQuestions about freelancer web development
If I want to start off as a freelance developer , which i assume I NEED to do in order to get hired as a junior developer anywhere, which junior developer is really where i want to start. I was wondering if I learn python/dajango from here, with HTTP basics/flask basics. I was wondering if that'd be enough to start at like junior free lance web developer I don't know what prices would be fair, but what would a average salary be to estimated if I did this as like full time work UNTIL I was able to get a job as a junior developer?

Courses Plus Student 350 PointsHi Jason, my suggestion would be to build a showcase of side projects (using Github or similar) in your spare time and continue with an (existing?) full-time job. Eventually you'll have demonstrated enough enthusiasm and knowledge for an entry-level developer role. Becoming a freelancer without experience probably won't provide enough of an income and puts you under pressure. Building projects for yourself and for friends/family while you're learning will get you into the industry sooner or later and is a lot more fun than jumping straight into freelance work before you're ready. Just my opinion of course!

895 PointsFair enough, now what if i did a normal full time job, and did the freelance work on the side? To build my portfolio for the entry job and I'd probably be able to make like 500$ a month off The freelance work?
