R cannot be resolved

After adding images from res folder in my xml file it is showing that Error:(14) No resource identifier found for attribute 'srcCompat' in package 'xyz.com.stormy', i tried a lot but am not able to solve it

Are you certain you copied the image directories into the right place, with the various drawable-*dpi/ alongside drawable/, not inside drawable?

I tries the same thing but then also it shows the same thing. I have even tried by cleaning and rebuilding the project but it is still showing the same thing.
