"R" file in android missing after being told to clean project

After following the simple android app course on one of the last videos I was told to clean my project for the android market. After doing so my "R" file in the "gen" folder when missing forming a heap of errors. Is there a solution?

This is an unfortunate error. I think the most common solution for me is this one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/885009/r-cannot-be-resolved-android-error (answer)

This can happen for a number of reasons. Your best bet is to look at the types of errors and where they are occurring and then matching up with one of the many solutions on StackOverflow, like this one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/885009/r-cannot-be-resolved-android-error (full question)

Keep the file.
