RAM size for Android Development on Mac

Hi! I just started the Building a Simple Android app and I am using a Mac OS X with 4GB RAM. Of course, more RAM will always be better so I am planning on bumping the RAM up to 8GB RAM (but that's another story, haven't opened a Mac before!). Curious as to how many RAMs you guys run to have a "comfortable" android dev emulator environment? Thank you!

I am developing using Android Studio on Mac Book Pro.My machine specs are 2.6 GHz dual core , 4 Gig Ram(Recommended)The minimum is 2 Gig but you can get more info on this link, https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#Requirements.
