Python Python Basics (2015) Letter Game App Random Item

random.randint

hello, I have a task i tried to solve it but the answer is wrong can you help me figure out what is wrong with it ?

this is the task First, import the random library. Then create a function named random_item that takes a single argument, an iterable. Then use random.randint() to get a random number between 0 and the length of the iterable, minus one. Return the iterable member that's at your random number's index.

item.py
import random
def random_item(item):
    random_num = random.randint(1,(len(item)-1))
    return item[random_num]

# EXAMPLE
# random_item("Treehouse")
# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"

the instruction says between 0 annd the length of the iterable, just change the first 1 in random.randint to a 0 and it should work!
