Reactjs changes are not being reflected by tomcat

I am trying to use reactjs on my local computer, but am not able to see the changes made to .jsx files even after restarting the server. I have gone through StackOverflow but have not found anything helpful.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ayush.

This might be the most verbose fix but this tends to work for me.

  • Make a fresh save of your work.

  • Restart your server

  • Open the app in localhost.

  • Go to view source in the browser. Refresh the page.

  • My experience tells me you should see the latest changes showing up in the browser.

After that, you should see all other changes showing up straight away. If it happens again repeat the steps above.

I'm not sure why this happens. It might be a browser caching issue or for whatever reason Babel is not compiling the virtual DOM properly but hopefully the steps above will get you going again :)
