Readable Regular Expressions

Stumbled upon this while browsing Coderbits today. In essence, it's a Javascript project that aims to turn regular expressions into human-readable language, like so:

var tester = VerEx()
        .startOfLine()
        .then( "http" )
        .maybe( "s" )
        .then( "://" )
        .maybe( "www." )
        .anythingBut( " " )
        .endOfLine();

How's that for clarity? Seeing as how regular expressions give me regular headaches, I'm looking forward to seeing ports of this project to other languages.
