Recording App

I want to build an app similar to the Voice Recorder app in iOS only I want to use that as a platform to learn how to build better music software.

Any thoughts, tutorials, snide remarks welcome! Hahaha!!! have fun coding!!!

Also I will be learning a ton of javaScript in the next few months so some info for building a recording app with JavaScript would be welcome as well:)

This sounds like a cool app idea, I like it. Here are a couple tutorials/pages I came across on the topic:

1 - A full tutorial on recording audio. I only skimmed it, but it looks like it walks you through everything but saving the audio file:

2 - This is a more "low-level" walkthrough, less pictures--more coding, but I think if I were actually going to code it this would be a good place to go after I was familiar with Objective-C:
