Recovering an account in case we stopped that one.

Hello everyone, I have some questions related to Treehouse accounts.

I have subscribed for one month. I would like to know when should I pay for the next month If I'm still interested in treehouse once this month is consumed (that would probably the case).

1) Will I receive an e-mail warning me ? Shoud I pay one day before It ends ?

2) If ever I want to skip one month and pay the one after, will I be able to get back my account with all tracks and etc ? In others words, Is my account still preserved (I guess yes but I prefere to ask).

Thank you, that's some answers I couldn't find browsing treehouse's website !

If you click on your icon in the top right corner and go under membership you can pause your membership and also see your billing history, which should tell you how and when you pay.

Ok, from your answer, I get you are billed automatically each month unless you cancel your account, is that right ? (sorry I'm not used to payment on the internet and even more with such website).

And do you know if ever I cancel my account and subscribe again later If I'll be able to recover my information (progress and etc...) ? That would be handy for me.

It might sound weird as question, but that's just because of something I've just figured out. As I don't own a master card I couldn't not pay using paypal, because paypal asked me to link a master card to pay my subscription when I subscribed on treehouse. I thought they wouldn't not have asked to do that.

The problem is I don't own one, as solution my girlfriend borrowed me her master card and I paid using it. However there is still a problem, as we live in Belgium, It seems I'll have extra fees, something around 15€ just to wire money on the treehouse account from here to USA (as It is probably located in USA).

So at the end, that's going to cost me around 58.54 USD just for a basic membership using this way of payment.

In the meantime, I'm going to order a master card I can link to my paypal account, this way, I'll be able to pay using paypal with no extra fees, but If ever I don't get my master card in time, I'll cancel my treehouse account and will open it again later to avoid huge extra fees because of international fees.

That's why I ask all these questions..

I think you question can probably best be answered by support. they are usually quick to reply and they would definitely know whether you can reactivate an account. I suspect everybody else would most likely have to speculate and that might lead to disappointment ;0)
