1,736 PointsRelation between Swift & ObjectiveC
I just finished the Swift iOS track. I notice there's another ObjectiveC based track. Does post iOS8 development require knowing both Swift & ObjectiveC or is Swift sufficient for creating all kinds of apps? What is the value in learning ObjectiveC at this point?
Thanks

47,913 PointsSwift is Apple's new language that is as of yet a little unstable and changing and evolving very quickly. You can only make apps for iOS 7 or higher on it. It is very seldom used in companies or anywhere you would get a job. Objective-C is tried and true, and you can make apps all the way back to iPhone OS 1.0, if you want to. It is by far the most commonly used language on the App Store
