l have been trying to click the relative layout button so that l can go to the background option on properties , but there is nothing coming out on properties , there are no options on properties.

1,618 Pointsjust go to the text tab, and add the code to the RelativeLayout manually. For instance, <RelativeLayout android:background="#FFFFFF"; (the #FFFFFF is the color white in code)
