Rendering Error

Whenever I open the activity_main.xml file, I always encounter the following error: "Exception raised during rendering"

Can you try updating your android SDK and selecting "API 20 Android L" by clicking on the small green android icon dropdown on the top right of the graphical screen. I've read that this happens when you are using API 20 Android 4.4W
