Request String/Routing isn't working

Whenever I run an app, the default name shows properly, however when I added /something or ?name=something, nothing worked. The request string version kept the default name, the new route though crashed. Im running this locally and this is what I have

from flask import Flask

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route('/')
@app.route('/<name>')
def index(name="josip"):
    return "Hello from {}".format(name)

app.run(debug=True)
