Response is continuing to go to onFailure even with the manifest update

I wasn't seeing the response in the logs, so I added a log entry of the generated URL if the call goes to onFailure so that I could test the URL itself and make sure it was ok. The URL works just fine in the browser.

I've added android:usesCleartextTraffic="true" to the manifest, but no dice. I've also switched to https:// and that doesn't work either.
