Responsive Slider Plugin - CSS not very clear over fittext JS

After watching the video I was a little confused with the fittext JS. It is not explained all to well to why changes need to be made.

If I was doing this on my own as a developer I would of been completely lost on why it was not working and how to fix it, I would of been looking through the wmuSlider JS / html / css to see what was wrong never thinking about fittext at all.
