Retrieving values from inside while loop?

How’s do I retrieve values from inside the while loop?

loops.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below
while counter < numbers.count {

     counter += 1
     }

The sum variable is initialized outside of the loop you just need to do something along the lines of

sum += numbers[counter]

or something similar to assign the value to the variable. Since it was created outside of the loop, it's accessible outside the loop. Does that help or make sense?
