Returns error after completing the task

IFor the first task that asks to give value to the button element on the app.js, I did the following:

let button = document.getElementById('sayPhrase');

'''

However following error is returned:

There was an error with your code: TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'button.addEventListener('click', function () { alert(input.value); })')

Any advice..?

You have a syntax error caused by a stray equal sign ("=") between the method name "getElementById" and the parentheses enclosing the argument.

Oh of course! I should avoid the equals sign when dictating what element id to choose. Thank-you for that. Gosh, I don't know how I missed that haha.
