Hi Germain,

Sorry to hear about this. I have a few suggestions:

Does using the video progress bar yield the same results? Refresh the video Logout/log in Clear your browser's cookies/cache.

If you're still experiencing troubles, please mail Support at help@teamtreehouse.com with your browser, OS, versions, specific video(s), and/or any other way to help them attempt to recreate the issue.

Thank You Jay.

I tried your suggestions with no luck. I followed your advice and sent an email to support for assistance.

Thank You for your help.

Hi Germain,

Please try the following:

  1. Try using a different browser. (Specifically Google Chrome, if you're not already using it)
  2. Update your flash via Adobe's website (Link leads to download latest flash). [To Staff: If you are using HTML5 please confirm that]
  3. Make sure the speed of the video stays at 1x.
  4. Depending on your OS, open the Command Prompt / Terminal and write ping teamtreehouse.com - make sure you are on an average of 200ms

Let me know if any of this helped. :)

Hi Michael,

I tried it but it didn't work. I am using Google and Edge. And Adobe has the latest version. After I logged in, if I go to this address https://teamtreehouse.com/library/how-to-make-a-website and click on Watch Trailer, I have no issues: Everything is just fine and Great. However If I click on Resume Course or Start Course, the voice becomes distorted and too heavy to understand. And that is for all courses I tried. May be Support can recreate the issue switching to my account. Thank You for your assistance.

Michael, Here is the Command Prompt result

Thank You.

Hey Germain, sorry for the late reply, I think we have a huge time-zone difference. :(

Your ping is way more than fine, it's great!

Question, does it happen only in Treehouse videos? Did you notice when this started happening (i.e after installing or upgrading OS, Windows 10)? Have you tried updating your sound card drivers?

Run a small test, download one of the videos, any video, and run it locally using your favorite media player on your PC, is it the same?

Another test you should run is; open a video here at Treehouse, open the task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and go the performance tab, look at the statistics and start rewinding the video for the sound to become again distorted, see if CPU or RAM is having a high usage.

I feel this is unlikely to be a Treehouse issue, but let me know if you already got an answer/solution from the support team. :)

Michael, Thank you very much for your assistance. In fact the issue has been resolved some days ago. I deleted the last application that was installed before I got in trouble. It was iTunes.

Thanks again and have a great day.

Strange that iTunes will create this kind of problem, but

oh well

Glad it got resolved. :D
