Rewrite not working for shirt details page

RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^shirt/$ /online/code/shirt/shirts.php RewriteRule ^shirt/([0-9]+)/$ shirt-detail.php?id=$1

Above is my rewrite rule. When I type http://localhost/online/code/shirt/1 the page does not load. Not sure what is wrong.

On your second RewiteRule, try including the file tree from your first RewriteRule. Like this: RewriteRule ^shirt/([0-9]+)/$ /online/code/shirt/shirt-detail.php?id=$1
